Are there any treatments for Bacne? (acne on the back)?

My brother is going to be married in less than 5 months and I am bridesmaid for his wedding. this also means I have to wear a dress that exposes my back and it's covered in acne. (I hate to admit! :) ) I'm just wondering where I can find a good acne treatment in time for the wedding...help!Are there any treatments for Bacne? (acne on the back)?
Boy oh boy, can I relate to this. What works best for me is the daily use of benzoyl peroxide cleanser. It's available in bars, but my favorite form is Neutrogena's Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask, which has a relatively low 3.5% concentration. Every morning in the shower I put a dab on my hand, lather it with water, then apply it to my face and back. I leave it on and let it work while I clean the rest of my body, then I rinse everything off. Try this for a few weeks and see if you see an improvement.

If the above doesn't seem to be working, then you may want to put the medication on at night before you go to bed and let it dry. Leave it on for about ten minutes and wash it off, or you can even sleep with it on if it doesn't irritate your skin. It can also help to lay an icepack on top of the mask. This reduces inflamation and helps the medicine get deeper into your pores. Be sure to wrap the icepack in a cloth so you don't get frostbite! Also note that Benzoyl Peroxide can bleach fabrics, so wear a night shirt that you don't mind ruining a bit.

If the above isn't getting you the results you want, then I recommend the full _The Acne Cure_ treatment by Dr. Terry Dubrow. It combines the above cold benzoyl peroxide regimin with Salicylic Acid soap to keep your skin free of oil and Alpha-Hydroxy Acid to unclog pores. The process is a bit time-consuming, but the results are good. You can probably find the details of Dr. Dubrow's treatment online without buying the book. While he has a lot of good information, the book is stuffed with filler. At the very least, shop around for a used copy of the book rather than paying full retail.

For inspiration, please check out Daniel Kern's website (ww.acne.org), which mirrors my own experience of beating my acne using Benzoyl Peroxide.

And finally, don't let acne run your life. I'm 35 and I still get occassional break outs, particularly when the seasons change. Even if you take good care of your skin, you will still have occassional flare-ups. I have found that people aren't as judgemental about acne as you might think. It's something that EVERYBODY has gone through. There's also a bright side to having oily skin鈥攊t ages more slowly because it is well moisturized! You will find that as you grow older you will look younger than other folks your age, so try to take some pleasure out of that. Are there any treatments for Bacne? (acne on the back)?
Mine stopped after I made sure my hair conditioner was rinsed off my back.

If you take precautions - you can try laying in the sun for a few days. It will clear up the problem for a bit. May be enough to get you through the wedding. But if you burn - it could make it worse.

You might try a dermotologist - who can give you some potions.
Buy a ';loofah'; / back scrub from a chemist

Shower for at least 3 mins in fairly warm water to soften the skin, then use the back scrub - use it every day.

Wash it every week in the washing machine to keep it fresh and bacteria-free, there's no point scrubbing your back with something that's full of bacteria.

Dry your back properly after your shower.. and.... for *best* results, go on a sunbed for 6 mins, maybe once per week for two weeks - this will dry out your back and heal your bacne and give you lovely smooth skin.

If you really want to, you could get a course of antibiotics from your GP - oxytetracycline works, as does Augmentin. You could start with the antibios to clear your back and then maintain a regular scrubbing regimen to keep it that way.

If you take antibiotics make sure you take probiotics, even if it's just a couple of those little milk drinks per day - these will be really helpful in preventing side effects, like thrush.
There was a time when sun was believed to be the solution for acne and moms used to send their sons out to the tanning salons in order to get rid of acne. And they were right in doing so. It has been medically proved that sunbathing is a great help for acne problems. According to a study by the researchers at the University of California, changes in the level of Vitamin D3 control body's immune response and help in healing the wounded skin.

If you have long hair, dont let it down on your back for a couple months. This will stop your skin form being agitated, and getting bacteria and grease rom your hair into it..If you use hair spray, be sure to wipe off the excess you get onto your back with a wet cloth or something, because hairspray and products really agitate the skin.

I would assume using a regular acne treatment used for your face on your back might help eliminate some of the damage. I use Loreal face wash, it seems to work pretty good on my face.

Keep in mind any acne treatment you use is going to take at least 3 or 4 months to show improvement, so dont expect results right away. =)

Hi,

it's important to inform yourself first before buying any wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.

Your best bet would be to check out

This is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural and endorsed by doctors and herbalists.

I've literally wasted hundreds on other ';miracles'; but this one is highly efficient and that's what only counts for me. It should also help you get rid of your acne in a breeze.

Hope that helps.

All the best,

Melinda
There are many treatments; but you should use of them under supervision of dermatologist; beceause of many of them have side effects.

you can use Clindamycin ointment q12hour or ErytromycinTopical ointment on the scars.

with a good Antibacterial soap like NOBACTER

And also you can use ISOTRETINOIN capsule 20 mg (ACCUTANE) 0.5 mg/kg every day

ACCUTANE should be prescribed with dermatologist and you should not be pregnant.
