Effective Acne Treatment?

I have had acne for about 5 years now. It is not as bad as it used to be, a lot of my breakouts have calmed down. But I still have a ton of blemishes underneath the skin which cause a very bumpy look. The most affected areas would be my chin, either side of my chin, on my cheeks closer to my nose and my forehead.

I have gone to the doctor about it around 2 years ago and he perscribed a few different things, none of which worked. I use makeup everyday and mosturizer only in the winter when my skin gets very dry.

Does anyone know of any effective acne treatments that will give me results?

*I don't want to take any kind of horomones because I am not comfortable with the idea of upsetting my body chemistry. I am looking for a topical solution only please :)Effective Acne Treatment?
You should ask your doctor

Acne varies from person to person.Effective Acne Treatment?
My mate used to have really bad acne and he got rid of it (slightly weird) he would urinate on a piece of tissue and rub it over the places that the acne was. also ive heard if u rub a little bit of toothpaste on it then that helps it as well.
proactive solutions excellent. i use it

Effective Acne treatment?

I have tried everything i could thing of.

thank youEffective Acne treatment?
Dermatologist. You need perscription strength medication, and probly a round or two of antibiotics to get it under control.

Go, see a doctor. You'll be glad you did.Effective Acne treatment?
There is no generally ';effective'; acne treatment. Your acne is caused by something unique to your body and skin. Which means you need a unique treatment for your skin. I have acne and like so many have tried a pharmacy list of products, but once I went to a dermatologist and kept trying I finally found something that works for me.

Trust me I asked people, watched infomercials and all. Bought the products and it just didn't work for me. If you can't go to a dermatologist for whatever reason, continue to try different products. AcneFree Severe worked well for me until I did see the dermatologist. I have tried all the products you listed but I have learned as you will find with a little research that it usually takes a combination of acne treatments to alleviate the acne.

There is no effective treatment.

You can only prevent some of the acne from coming to the surface.

Everyone is different. For me, nothing works except prescriptions. And proactive helps it stop from forming if I use it every day twice a day or else my skin goes back to normal.

Acne is normal, and while it might be a ';turn-off'; it is natural.
I had terrible acne. I tried everything like you did. Now it is all clear.

Go to the dermatologist, ask the doctor about acutane (it atleast sounds like that). It is a pill you take once or twice a day. You take it for about 6 months. Afterwards your acne will be completely gone or calmed way down.

It worked so well, so if you go to a dermatologist, ask about it.
Well i tried all of those too..and i changed over to Clinique Acne Treamtments...And in the last 2 months or so..My acne has cleared up really well..im not sure its the treatment or im growing out of it..but I love the stuff..it leaves ur face soft.

I also use zap zit when i get a huge zit. And i use Cliniique Dramatically Mosturizer or something because i get dry skin when on acne treatments.

You can go to a department store which has a Clinque counter and ask then about it. And if not you can probably order it on the internet.

The sales woman said alot of people who tried proactiv went to Clinique and it worked much better.
Acne free

for fast results try this it will work within 1 day ! i swear =)

Take a lemon from the fridge, squeeze some lemon juice into your skin

rinse face with cold water

Within the first few tries you'll notice that it doesnt ''help'' with acne, but completely get's rid of it, and makes your skin look HEALTHY, you really do get this weird ''glow''

I can't emphasize this enough. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS, don't use stupid chemichals on your skin, you're skin is something NATURAL, so it only makes sense to use something NATURAL

your just the same as i was in the end i went to the doctors they gave me some creme but it doesnt rele work that great but say youve finnished the tube and then they put u on a stronger one and lately i ordered a precription on my pharmacys website and they gave me a really strong one now everyones asking how my skin became floorless This WILL work
Wash your face, keep it clean.

What is the most effective creams or treatments used to fade brown spots left behind from acne??

Oh Oh Oh- Neutrogena just came out with one - it's called acne mark fading cream or something like that but I'm sure it helps because they used to have a similar product and it was great. I can't wait to see how this one works. Also, Murad, (www.murad.com) has a serum that is for fading age spots but it works on post-acne marks too. Good luck! What is the most effective creams or treatments used to fade brown spots left behind from acne??
Usually a chemical peel and microderm abrasion help... I don't know if this is completely true or not, but someone said whitening toothpaste. Be very careful of Neutrogena!!!! I just used that fading peel, along with their acne system recently, and I face blew up like a balloon, then burned. I have sensitive skin and well I won't ever buy anything from that company again. I know Avon has a good chemical peel as well. What is the most effective creams or treatments used to fade brown spots left behind from acne??

Is there an EFFECTIVE over-the-counter or home remedy treatment for adult acne?

I have tried Proactiv and AcneFree and Clearasil and Biore and Clean%26amp;Clear and Neutrogena. None of them worked after months of use. I am 23 and have had acne since I was 11. My insurance doesn't cover acne medication and it's really expensive, so that's not an option, unfortunately. My acne is severe, sometimes the pimples get so inflamed that they are more like a cyst and really painful. If I have one on my chin or around my mouth I cannot open my mouth all the way because the acne hurts so much. Do you know of an over-the-counter or home remedy for adult acne? Where can I find it and how expensive is it?Is there an EFFECTIVE over-the-counter or home remedy treatment for adult acne?
Cystic type acne really does require an antibiotic but the ones that are normally prescribed are fairly inexpensive if you request generic.

I have been able to control pimples but not the cystic type acne with home remedies. Is there an EFFECTIVE over-the-counter or home remedy treatment for adult acne?
Im not sure that over the counter applications are very effective. I had acne as a teenager and the only treatments that worked for me were those prescribed by a doctor. I think it needs to be a powerful drug or lotion to get totally rid of it. Im not sure whether what you eat might make the condition worse. I'll have a look in my 'healthy eating' book and let you know if I find anything!
I'm sorry.

Try Homoeopathy first. it will not be nearly as expensive and the practitioner will get to the base cause - maybe your liver.

Try acupuncture - this can be a very effective alternative.

I wish you all success - acne is a curse. But can be overcome.

Some great actors have had acne. And seem to have dealt with the problem.
for some zits, i put toothpaste or deoderant on it and it dries up and shrinks throughout the day and night

hope this helps!
try taking toms,,and dont eat tomatoes. sounds like something is breaking you out.

What are the causes of acne and which skin treatments are most effective?

http://www.Acnezine-Acne-Treatment.ze.cxWhat are the causes of acne and which skin treatments are most effective?
well the cause is chocolate , chipz, and soda wich all have some kind of acid but the best treatment would be oyster cream wich is found anywhereWhat are the causes of acne and which skin treatments are most effective?
I think Tri-clear works. Talk with your dr. they have the best meds or treatment for that stuff.

Good Luck
Acne IS NOT caused by what you eat. Some people are just prone to acne. Teenagers usually get it, but people with oily skin usually have it most of their life until their skin drys out. Depending on how severe it is, you can consult you family doctor or a dermatologist. If it is mild acne, Neutrogena, Aveeno, or Proactiv works. I have noticed if acne is moderate or severe, these products do not work %26amp; a doctors visit is in order.
Acne is not caused by food. Certain foods can aggravate acne, but not cause it.

Acne is caused when skin pores become blocked, due to excessive oils being generated. Then the oil sac becomes infected by bacteria, and pimple forms.

Acne medicines basically work by regulating the oil production, and or keeping pores clean.
I've had the best success with over-the-counter products containing 2% salicylic acid. But it must be used on a regular basis, not just here and there as treatment for already occuring blemishes. What it does is keep the pores cleaned out so not as many blemishes form in the first place.
The food, overall the junk food. The most effective? a balanced and natural diet, avoid fatty food and carbs.

  • Does this skin eruption indicate my acne treatments are effective?

    Hey,

I recently visited a skin specialist and I was put on the GlyMed Plus range of Acne Treatments. They all contain Salicylic Acid at 2-5% concentrations, I also have had my first Salicylic Peel, which I am to repeat every fortnight.

4-5 Days after the peel and starting the products, my skin has been erupting like crazy, but ONLY in the areas I get breakouts to start with, mainly my chin and upper lip area. Luckily, they are all whiteheads, which end up drying and peeling off, but there is about15-20 of them! However, I notice each day they become smaller in size, right now they're the size of a pin-head.

My question is, do the products lift up every impurity out of my pores first and then began to clear my skin?? Also, does this mean the products are effective in terms of there actions?

It is not a severe breakout, but definitely much more than before the peel and using the products! How long does the skin need to purge itself of these disgusting eruptions!?Does this skin eruption indicate my acne treatments are effective?
as what ive heard.. some acne products makes you skin worst at first use. because it will pull up all the impurities: dirt and oil.. that are already clogged up in ur pores..

just wait and see.. wait for like 3 weeks or 2.. :) goodluck!

i have acne too.. im 15.. :) i guess its pretty normal.. )

    Effective Acne Treatment?

I have acne on my back and on my face; it isnt extreme like swollen bumpy acne but it is bad however, it is like marks left over from spots; like blacky/reddy marks (wierd colour) (im indian so... that probably why their that colour). however, what are the best treatments that actually WORK because there are so many out their. im 17 and what will actually work?

    thanksEffective Acne Treatment?
:| Proactiv doesn't work. I asked the lady selling Proactiv whether or not I should use it, and she said:

    ';You should use it if you have big pimples (cysts or nodules), but small/normal pimples won't need it. Also, Proactiv can dry out your skin and you may not see result using it until after a few months to a year, depending on your skin type. Some heatlh concerns also come with Proactiv like redness or dryness of the skin.';

I don't recommend using Proactiv from what she told me...

I had acne, too. Nothing major, though. I asked my doctor if he could precribe something for me to use, and he did.

    IT WORKED AMAZINGLY.

Just after 2 weeks, I could see 90% of my acne was GONE.

    (I AM NOT KIDDING.)

I was so frustrated and had such low self-esteem because of my acne before, but now I can go in to the sun and feel good!

    Just ask your doctor/dermatologist!

    They know their stuff.

:) oh btw here's a tip on how to tell if you have serious acne or just mild (like me):

if your pimples grow mostly on your CHEEKS, you have serious acne. Also, if they are hard to the touch and it hurts when you touch them, that's also another clue that you have serious acne! Otherwise, it's mild :)

I wish you all the luck (because we all know how ANNOY pimples are)!Effective Acne Treatment?
For face: Mix nutmeg powder with a little unboiled milk and apply on acne or pimples and wash after an hour this remedy when done once or twice a week will not leave any acne marks on the skin .

When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Use a gentle action and don鈥檛 be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
This is a really hard question to answer,

Someone had send me this website and you'll come to a site that has all the info you need .

Pro Active. It works amazing!! They have a cleanser, and a toner you use daily and a mask you can use for spot treatments. It's worth the money!!
If Proactiv doesn't work after 3 months, you should see a dermatologist. Proactiv is pretty good but it could be something serious that you may want a professional's advice.

    Hi,

Here is some information on Aloe Vera and Tea Tree, a natural remedy, which may be helpful to you.

The watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.

Gel or juice of Aloe Vera is highly useful in fading of acne scars. You can grow Aloe Vera plant in your home and apply freshly taken pure Aloe Vera gel to your scar. Otherwise many branded cosmetic companies manufactures pure Aloe Vera gel, so you can choose the best cosmetic companies to get Aloe Vera gel.

Vitamin A is also a natural and effective Acne cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

Vitamin E also helps in countering Acne. It is a natural antioxidant and beneficial for the skin.

Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the Terpenes either outright kill them or weaken them enough to be destroyed by protective antibodies. There are very little side effects from using Tea Tree Oil.

For more information check out the website http://www.trustwilliam.com/en-GB/Ingredients/Aloe-Vera-Trust-William/?term=Aloe+Vera%26amp;extcam=sm . You'll see the ingredients are 99.9% Pure Aloe Vera Gel with 'Vitamins A,C %26amp; E' and with 'Tea Tree'.

Hope this helps keep your acne %26amp; scars at bay!!

Are natural products more effective in the treatment of severe acne?

I have really bad acne, literally. My entire face, arms, chest, and back is covered with it. I have gone to two different dermatologists about it and am realizing that my options have basically dwindled down to a handful. Basically none of the meds have worked. So that is my story.

Recently I have researched that all natural products, such as those from Burt's Bee's, are actually more affective in the treatment of acne than prescription medication. Is this true?

I have also researched that tea tree oil is very effective in treating acne. Is this true?

I am, at this point, basically willing to do and try anything to treat my acne and stop new acne from forming? I would really appreciate any information you can give me.Are natural products more effective in the treatment of severe acne?
If anything natural works for you I would be amazed - especially Burts Bees - its all very oily and waxy - it does after all, get its name from bees wax...

Tea tree oil isn't effective in killing the bacteria that causes acne - It doesn't kill gram negative germs

Acne is genetic - you inherited a system that produces inflammatory cytokines in response not to the bacteria p. acnes (sp?) but rather, the metabolic by products of that bacteria - most people are covered with that bacteria - but not everyone has acne because not every one reacts to it...you just happen to be one...

I would stick with prescribed medications. Two different doctors is not that many to see when it comes to severe acne. And its not unusual for it to take 2-3 years, and a a whole lot of medications before you find the right combination that will help you - I know thats not encouraging....I've been there.

  • Fast & effective acne spot treatments?

I have the worst pimple ever. I have never ever had a pimple hurt/look this bad.

Right now it's just a large red bump by the corner of my nose. Yesterday when i felt it come up i immediately used an acne cleanser/ mask treatment/ and toner. I'm thinking that's the reason it hasn't fully developer into the yellow bump it feels like it's going to be,

I need an inexpensive, fast spot treatment that will give results.

If it's over $10 i will not be buying it.

I'm thinking clearasil might work, it's supposed to work in as little as 4 hours but idk. if you have used it tell me.Fast %26amp; effective acne spot treatments?
Clean and clear has a acne spot treatment tube I love. If you know the bump is going to ';pop'; it works very well afterwards. Within like an hour it shrinks down to nothing as long as all of the (ugh) puss is out. I do not recommend popping it if you dont have to, just put it on the spot overnight and it will shrink. I think it was about $7 and some change, its been a while since I bought plus I dont use that often but you really dont use a lot a dab will do it.Fast %26amp; effective acne spot treatments?
Acne is caused by hormones in your body. Best bet is to got o your doctor and get an acne spot treatment gel.

If its a pimple try to stop it before it comes!

Don't touch it. Apply an icecube to cut down swelling. Then apply a hot towel to open up the pores. Clean with an antibactierial soap.

If it hurts and is throbbing i find crushed tylenol works or even a dap of toothpaste with baking soda to dry the sucker out.
yes clearasil does work but try the pen it susposed to work immedielity
That would be a prescription thing.
NOTE鈥 HAVE WRITTEN THIS LONG ANSWER TO RESPOND TO QUESTIONS RELATING TO BECAUSE THEY COME UP SO OFTEN:

    OILY SKIN

    ACNE

    FACIAL LIGHTENING

    DEALING WITH ACNE SCARRING

    DEALING WITH STRETCH MARKS

    IMPROVING SKIN TONE

    PIMPLES

    BLACKHEADS

    EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT

    INGROWING HAIRS

    BODY ACNE

鈥HE INFO鈥橲 BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE. I鈥橫 36 NOW SO I鈥橵E HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE A WHILE AND THOUGH MUCH OF THIS ANSWER MAY BE IRRELEVANT, I HOPE THERE'LL BE SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP YOU!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.

EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.

HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.

FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.

I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!

Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.

HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.

INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.

For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.

NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.

OLD WIVES TALE??...It's an 'old wives tale' type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X

HYDRATION鈥?Keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!

DEALING WITH SCARRING鈥here鈥檚 an excellent micro-dermabrasion scrub called 鈥榬e-finish鈥? by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.

If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. It鈥檚 a skin lightening cream and is very effective as long as your skin type agrees with it. Bio oil is a good alternative!

Also, to detract from the colour variations in your skin tone, I recommend using Benefit鈥檚 Posie Tint or Benetint lipstain 鈥?this can be put on your cheeks and lips (which also makes your teeth look whiter as an added bonus). Lipstain is better than lipstick because it doesn鈥檛 smudge and it stays on; you can put lip balm or lip gloss on over it. Also, if you use it (SPARINGLY) on your cheeks, it is just like putting water on there; it doesn鈥檛 aggravate the skin or cause breakouts.

Are acne laser treatments a fast and effective way to get rid of my acne and acne scars?

Ok. So just recently (like a couple of months ago) i had one of the biggest breakouts of my life. I have used just about every over-the-counter acne treatment system on the market. I have scheduled an appointment with the dermatologist for a Smoothbeam treatment. I am so sick of my acne its hard to look in the mirror. I was wondering if anyone has had a laser treatment done and how long was it before you saw results, if any.

please help! Are acne laser treatments a fast and effective way to get rid of my acne and acne scars?
Acne is an inflammatory skin condition characterized by superficial skin eruptions around hair follicles.Acne is merely a signal for a much deeper imbalance inside the body. One of the most commonly used ingredients, Benzoyl Peroxide can be very effective in treating mild cases of non-inflammatory acne.

'Acne No More' is a widely accepted acne treatment program but it has been given less attention than it deserves. It is an all-natural, holistic acne battling cure that permanently cures acne, ends breakouts, and prevents future pimples. 'Acne No More' is one of the few permanent acne cures in existence, because the book teaches you to treat acne from the inside out.

What are some effective treatments - natural or medication - for acne?

Oh lordie, I think I've tried everything out there. The trick is to change it up. Your skin for some annoying reason, likes to get immune to things. But here is some key ideas that i used when i went through my zittiest phases of puberty (and once u realize how these products work, you'll be able to create some of your own ideas)

Keep in mind- everyone has diff skin. Mine in particular has spots of moisture and spots of dryness, so make sure your sensitive to spots such as forheads, mouth areas... yadda yadda

    **

    1) white Toothpaste! little dabs on the infected area should suck it right on up. and make sure u leave it on for a long time as well. I would put it on before i went to bed and scrub it off once i woke up.

    2) after you pop a zit, try spraying/rubbing Hydrogen Peroxide (after all, it kills bo-bos)

    3) use Neutrogena ';deep clean invigorating scrub'; It feels amazing and the exfoliant part of it really helps loose skin.

    4) other good products to use are: Cold creams, exfoliants, oatmeal products. and one of my fav(but it makes a mess) is Avocados. But its highly rich in fatty oils (good ones) but your face might already be too moist as it is

put a hand towel in very hot water and after wringing it out, lay it on your face till the towel is cool. Then following, wash like crazy and splash lots of cool water on it.

There are some home remedies at this website
Get a dermatologist. There are so many medications out there that can really help. There is no need to suffer with poor skin in today's age. My cousin has severe acne and he's going on Accutane, which is the cure for acne. However, it's only prescribed for serious cases.

You can go to the dermatologist and they'll give little shots of cortisone which will take your zits away the next day! Also, you can be put on a steroid that eliminates them in 3 days.

You should get a good Retina A product as well, and wear sunscreen. Go to the DR!

I'm an adult, but my dermatologist said Aveeno is a great product.

Spot treatment acne recipes that are effective..?

i'm looking for some recipes that i can use at home that I can make to use as a spot treatment?Spot treatment acne recipes that are effective..?
    Spot Treatment:

    Neosporin

Use Neosporin on stubborn whiteheads, pimples, and/or scars overnight to help clear and heal skin.

NEOSPORIN: It kills bacteria, speeds the healing of wounds, and can minimize the appearance of small scars. Neosporin鈥檚 combination of Bacitracin, Neomycin, and Polymixin-B kills a broad range of bacteria beyond the typical acne treatments such as benzoyl peroxide. Also, unlike BP, Neosporin is unlikely to cause drying since it uses an oil base (something that acne sufferers typically try to avoid - however, it鈥檚 actually the oil underneath the surface that your glands produce which is more likely to become a barrier to clear skin). It also causes reduction of redness makes spots less obvious.Spot treatment acne recipes that are effective..?
First, I understand where you're coming from. I grew up with really bad acne, not only on my face but on my body as well. It was embarrassing and I tried everything including cleansers, creams, prescription medications, antibiotics, over the counter medications, and even shots from the dermatologist (ouch!) to get rid of it. I never did until many years later when it didn't matter as much.

    http://topsecretacnevolution.blogspot.co鈥?/a>

Here's what I found out after lots of research and trial and error, the hard way.

It's not a topical issue, it doesn't help much to treat it from the outside, it's an inside job. When you treat it from the outside it's like treating the symptoms, not the cause. You'll hear from many people that's not the case, and it's usually because they want you to buy their creams or lotions, and keep buying them month after month after month (or they haven't experienced the truth). Of course, when you stop using it (as you've experienced) your blemishes come back... because you're not treating the cause. And the costs for all of these routines/drugs add up month after month.

If you think about it logically, it makes sense. Why do we get rashes, breakouts, or other skin irritations? It's usually because of something we ate, something that wasn't meant to be put on our skin, something that caused us stress and our body reacts to all those things.

Bottom line is that most every cause of acne is related to what you eat, how you feel and how you take care of yourself. Your skin is a reflection of what's on the inside. We have lots of toxins building up in our systems and they have to be cleaned out on the inside and that will reflect on the outside. The blemishes, rashes, acne, etc are indications that your body is reacting to what you're eating, to stress, toxins, chemicals, hormones... literally a great number of things.

Basically what I did in a nutshell was clean out my system by taking out the processed and junk foods, and added as much fresh fruits and vegetables to my diet as possible. This part is key. I also started drinking a lot of water daily, starting with 3 or 4 glasses when I wake up (adding a squeeze of fresh lemon at times). I also got more active every day, walking, running, sports, jumping, whatever, just getting active. It not only gave me more energy, it help flush out the toxins that were clogging up my system.

Do you work out often (or get all sweaty some other way)? That could be the problem if you don't immediately take a shower and wash that area of the body, sweat is bacteria food, which is the main cause of acne. What I would do is use an over-the-counter acne treatment with salicylic acid or benzyl-peroxide to treat the acne you have and antibacteria soap to prevent it.
If you have dark spots or scars on your face from a breakout or suffered from any unwanted darkening of the skin. • Desperately looking for the best and most effective natural treatment for Acne blemishes/scars on BLACK SKIN?

    Hi all

I am a black female (African). 23 yrs old and have suffered from acne for what feels like forever. I am soooo desperate to find a solution to this, i am going to list some of the treatments I have tried:

Proactive- pimples reduced for a while and then came back

Minomycine antibiotic- worked until script finished, pimples came back

Glycolic acid peels/treatments: I also underwent a series of peels with a dermatologist using glycolic acids and Neostrata products at home as support. These helped, but did not solve my problem.

Currently I am on DIFFERIN (0.1%) which was prescribed to me by another dermatologist. I have been on this for 4 weeks with no change or improvement, still have plenty of pimples and hideous Dark marks.

Apologise for the length of this question, I am just upset, frustrated and downright depressed over this. it doesn't help that I am in Melbourne Australia where there seems to be no treatments for black skin.

Years ago the docs in the US put us on antibiotics. Sorry I don't know which drug was used but I wonder if this is a possibility for you. I know black skin is as or more prone to scarring so you really need to get this handled. Try to Google and see if you can find any info re the use of antibiotics. I just re-read some of the info you provided; I think you will need to be on antibiotics long-term, not just for one rx. Good luck!

What are some effective over the counter acne treatments?

    benzoyl peroxide works.

however, I personally have noticed a correlation with foods I eat and acne. Do you drink enough water? What types of fatty foods do you eat?

I think that if you can tolerate drinking pleanty of water, reduce caffiene and saturated fats it might help you avoid having to put on an acne medication. However, I don't know what your diet consists of. You might be a super healthy eater. In that case are you under a lot of stress?

When I had a strict diet I had virtually no acne. I would try to use biore strips and I would never have any thing that stuck to those strips. Now, I care a little less about my diet (I eat more cheeses and caffiene) it is a lot different. What are some effective over the counter acne treatments?
proaciveWhat are some effective over the counter acne treatments?
Many products available, some work for certain people and others work for other people. Many have Benzoyl bases. If you experiment with a product and it does not work then do not buy another product with the same active ingredient because you will get the same results. Here is a good overview of acne and treatments.

    Acne medication

We can divide acne medication into two groups:

Over-the-counter medication and specialized skincare products

Prescription medication in the form of systemic or topical products

Over-the-counter acne medication and specialized skincare products will normally include the following:

    Face wash as acne medication

You need to remove dirt, grime and pollution from your face as well as any make-up, but an over-zealous attitude to cleansing will do more harm than good. A good facial wash or cleanser should be used twice a day to remove excess sebum and may be medicated in some form or another.

Be careful not to use too strong a facial wash, as it will irritate the skin, strip away essential elements in the skin, and leave the skin tight and pulling. This is NOT an indication that you have cleansed the face properly, but an indication that you irritated the skin and caused the subcutaneous layer of the skin to be compromised - the very thing that you want to prevent.

To wash your face, use a proprietary wash/soap/cleaner specially formulated for problem skin. Using lukewarm water clean the skin well, ensuring that all areas are washed. Rinse the face after washing with clear lukewarm water to remove any residue of the face wash.

Do NOT use overly hot water. People suffering from acne and skin problems have the mistaken idea that washing their faces with scalding hot water will help clear up the problem. It WILL NOT, it will only cause more stress to the skin.

After washing, gently pat the skin dry with a soft towel and do NOT vigorously rub the skin dry. After drying the skin, you can apply a non-alcohol toner if you so wish.

We believe that our Problem Skin Facial Wash is a great product to use, since it contains 8 active ingredients (salicylic acid, centella asiatica etc) to help with acne and problem skin - for more information on our Problem Skin Face Wash please click here. For more information on our Clarifying Toner please click here.

    Spot treatment lotions and creams

    Benzoyl peroxide component

Benzoyl peroxide is a very popular way to treat pimples and acne and is effective for mild forms of acne, but has the distinct disadvantage of drying the skin excessively and can cause redness and flaking.

    Salicylic acid component

Salicylic acid is often included in creams, as it helps to correct the shedding of cells, helps unclog the pores and also helps to prevent lesions.

    Sulfur component

Sulfur is an old remedy for acne and pimple treatment and is often used in conjunction with other ingredients, but still is one of the mainstays of acne and pimple medication.

At Dermaxime we have four products, apart from the face wash, to help with acne and pimples and believe in a gentle way of clearing up the problem, as harsh chemicals can have negative effects on the skin. Our products, like any good skincare product will not work overnight, but the regular use of the products will help with skin problems and has brought relief to acne sufferers who never thought that an improvement was possible.

    The four other products are:

Problem Skin Moisturizing Gel, containing 12 active ingredients, including AC NET, Willow Bark extract, Centella Asiatica and Oats extract to assist with the problem, while still providing moisture without any oiliness - for more info click here.

Spot Treatment Cream is a product to apply on individual spots and contains 9 active ingredients including Sulfur, Centella asiatica and Rosehip oil to help clear up the inflammation - for more info click here.

Problem Skin Night Cream contains 16 active ingredients so formulated to nourish your skin, while not being greasy or oily - for instance AC NET - and for more info click here.

Problem Skin Mask contains 12 active ingredients (including AC NET) to help soothe the skin and has antiseptic properties and will also help to reduce the redness of the face - for more info click here.

    Prescription acne medication

Should you however suffer from cystic acne, or find that over-the-counter acne medication has little or no effect on your acne, then a dermatologist must be consulted and he/she will then probably fight your skin problem with a variety of prescription acne medication products.

Topical medication may include antibiotic, sulfonamide, azeleic acid or retinoid compounds to treat acne, and the type used will be determined by various factors and will be assessed by your dermatologist. Be sure to ask what you may or may not do while using these creams, as some of them may have negative side effects.

Oral medication may include a broad spectrum antibiotic such as tetracycline (which may cause staining of teeth in very young patients and may also not be taken by pregnant women), erythromycin or minocycline etc. Corticosteroid treatment can be given for a short period of time for very severe acne, but may cause unwanted side effects in longer term use.

Oral isotretinoin treatment may also be undertaken, and is extremely popular as good results can be achieved, but the downside of this treatment is that it is a very powerful drug and if not VERY closely monitored may cause liver damage and a array of other very uncomfortable and unwanted problems. For more information on the side effects please click here.

Hormonal treatments may also be undertaken, but are not feasible for all sufferers and once again must be closely monitored.

    Hi,

it's important to inform yourself first before buying the wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.

Yes ...first...get yourself these things...wash your face with Kiss my face Olive oil soap..it is green and wonderful..and regulates the oils in your skin...dont wash your face with anything but a loofa sponge...scrub it good, then take about a 50c piece size of honey ..yes you heard me...honey...the more natural the better...in your hands and rub it on your face..start patting your face until it is REALLY sticky all over your nose too... then rinse in luke warm water well then cool water...always use a good moisterizer..I use kiss my face aloe and olive oil moisturizer...people are always stopping me telling me my skin is beautiful and I am always pegged at 10 to 20 years below my age....and I have hardly ANY wrinkles and I am 52...Ive been doing this since I was 16...by the way, you might break out the first time while the skin gets to its balance, so do it on a weekend... it is virtully fool proof and you will love your skin! My sister who is one year older than me has tons of wrinkles and awful skin and she has used the ';commerical products'; Hope it helps...
the best thing to not do is use soap on your face. it cloggs up the pores and leave a residue and causes you to break out. if you have oily skin, you can use rubbing alcohol with a cotton ball. or just wash your face real good with a clean wash cloth and then use cool water to close the poors.
my daughter and niece had that problem and then i seen the ads about proactive, well i did not buy the stuff until we tried everything else i am not one to see something on TV and believe it. Well after searching and researching i decided that nothing so far i have bought has worked whats one more, well my daughter is now 23 and still uses proactive. but let me tell you this once you start using it and your face clears up stay consistent and you will stay clear hope you check it out signed one happy mom daughter and niece

I used ProActiv for acne almost 2 yrs. Worked great, had great results, but I am looking for cheaper alternative. Stopped use for a month now, and have acne again. I don't think the cleanser I use now works as well. The moisturizer seems to clog pores and make face greasy too.

What is the most effective treatment menthod for acne rosacea?

I am seeking treatment for my rosacea/acne. I have light, Celtic skin. My case is moderate and I live near many renown med spas, so I have a lot of options.

So, is blue light therapy, photofacial, microderm or PDT the best treatment option? I have tried oracea and finacea and they help, but I am looking for better results that will last longer.

Please respond only if you are a patient or dermatologist who is familiar with the condition rosacea and the treatment options. Alos, what is a fair price range for treatment? Thanks! What is the most effective treatment menthod for acne rosacea?
PDL (Pulse Dye Laser) is currently considered by most dermatologists to be the most effective light/laser therapy for rosacea. I have tried PDL, and it is very effective. It can be more effective when used with Levulan/Kerastick. ClearLight/BluLight hasn't been as extensively studied for rosacea as PDL; it seems to be more promising for acne. Combining BluLight/ClearLight with PDL seems excessive if you only have rosacea without acne.

Microdermabrasion is not effective at all for rosacea. PhotoFacials (IPL) can be effective for rosacea, but PDL seems to be more effective with fewer treatments, based on current studies.

Instead of Oracea, you might also want to try Nicomide, and you might also want to try Plexion wash (especially if your skin is oily). Rosacea responds best to combination therapy.

I would also NOT go to a medical ';spa';. Go to a dermatologist's office and get a consultation FIRST. You may not receive the appropriate setting on the laser for your skin if you go to a medical spa, and thus not receive maximum benefit. Ask who will be performing the treatment. If it is an ';aesthetician';, go somewhere else. You want to receive the treatment from the doctor, from a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, or an RN or possibly LPN. It's ok to have hair removal or some procedure like that from an aesthetician -- but I wouldn't trust your face during a procedure that could actually cause permanent discoloration and hyperpigmentation to one. An average treatment should cost $300 to $500, depending on the part of the country where you live, possibly more. What is the most effective treatment menthod for acne rosacea?
I had rosacea a few years ago and was treated with antibiotics. The rosacea eventually subsided.

I do know of someone who uses an over-the-counter product (wash, oil and lotion) to treat the symptoms. If you're interested in trying something less invasive that you've listed above, I can give you more information on the product.

    Good luck with your treatment!

A really effective treatment for spots/acne?

I am nearly 14 and I am a girl and have a really bad outbreak of spots on my forehead and on my scalp, some being directly on my hairline and hurting when I brush my hair. My hair is cropped relatively short and I wash it often so the spots cannot be aided by greasy hair, but Still the remain dominant and are multiplying onto my nose and under my eyes and some are on my chin. My pores also seem to be inflamed on my cheeks. This really frustrates me as I use Clearasil ointment which guarantees to noticeably fight spots in three days, Clearasil pore perfect lotion and take clear complexion tablets (non-prescription) and although the spots have decreased in redness a little they tingle and burn a lot and are quite 'aggressive', if I can say that for spots!! I try to drink plenty of water and wash my face morning and night, first with warm water then with cold. I put in a whole lot of effort in trying to clear my spots but it seems to be to no effect and I feel really frustrated and saddened. I wear dream-matte-mousse foundation to cover them up a bit to make them less noticeable, and I suppose this doesn't aid matters, but if I didn't wear make up I would feel so embarrassed by my spots.

So, please, does anyone know a really effective (natural if possible) treatment for acne/spots or will my GP be willing to give me medication for acne? My spots make me feel so down.

    Thanks in advance.

xxxA really effective treatment for spots/acne?
There are lots of things you can do to reduce or eliminate those pimples.

    1. When you wash your face, use your hands. When you scrub your face with a wash cloth, it actually spread the bacteria all over your face causing more break outs. Avoid the face washes with ';scrub'; or ';exfoliating'; in the names.

    2. Change your pillow case and sheets often. Also use a clean towel for drying your face every time. Also try washing your hairbrush in really hot water.

    3. Get acne cream who's active ingredient is Benzoyl Peroxide and apply it at least once a day before going to bed (watch out, its been known to stain sheets so make sure its dry before going to sleep)

Try to do all these things regularly and you will see the changes in your face.

It generally takes six weeks for you to see the results from any skin condition. Don't expect miracles from supermarket products. If you have an acne problem that you cannot deal with see a doctor there are plenty of specialised creams that work better, but do your research some cause depression later on in life! If you just have general acne try using tea tree oil on the affected areas. Its cheaper and works quickly by drying out the spot. (for this reason do not use it all over your face!) Hope this helps, good luck!
My daughter tried Clean and Clear after trying Proactive, the Clean and Clear really didn't do much so she went back to Proactive. That stuff is really worth the extra money. It works!!

Is Clindamycin as effective as tretinoin for acne treatment? any side effects?

they have different mode of action. clindamycin kills bacteria while tretinoin peels off the skin. clindamycin is actually much more effective in acne with less side effects like photophobia and epidermal peeling. Is Clindamycin as effective as tretinoin for acne treatment? any side effects?
it's the best medicine with the least side-effects. If u compare it with any retinoid, which can just ruin ur skin and make it so bad that u really wonder wether it's a medicine. now about clindamycin,

my sis has been using it since many years for her pimples and it is quite effective in controlling them. even i use it if i get any small zits. but do get ur doctor to prescribe it. see when ur young most of us get zits some time or the other , looking at my skin many of my frnds asked how they can also handle pimples so effectively and i told them about clindamycin and they r very happy with the results.

do c ur doctor though if u have strong acne problem

the two together make for the best treatment. they compliment it other.

Is Doxycycline an effective drug for acne treatment?

I am just curious if Doxycycline can be effective in the treatment of acne (mild-to-moderate case). My doctor recently re-prescribed me to a generic Doxycycline hyclate tablet - 100 mg. twice daily (I used to take 75 mg. twice daily). My acne, although fairly mild, has flared up a bit recently and I am just wondering if it would be worth it to initiate a second treatment of the medicine at a higher dosage (I have been off the medication for about 10 days and have developed a few cysts - which I think can be attributed to my body's weaning off the medication). Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated!!Is Doxycycline an effective drug for acne treatment?
It can be very effective and it sound like it helps you but higher dosage wouldn't necessarily help you more. I actually don't like the idea of antibiotics for long-term acne treatment because you can run into antibiotic resistance later in life which can be a real problem. Also, high doses of antibiotics can really mess with your intestinal tract. Doxycycline was prescribed for me recently for an infection and made me terribly sick to my stomach. Like all drugs, antibiotics can have side effects and higher doses may be hard for you to tolerate, especially long-term.Is Doxycycline an effective drug for acne treatment?
A few tings may be happening. What ever is causing the acne may be getting killed and need to be eliminated from the body. In this case, your skin may develop more acne and cysts to get rid of it. Another thing that may be happening is that you are having an allergic reaction to the medication. In this case, you should quit taking it and report it to your health care provider. Another thing that may be happening, is that you quit taking it 10 days ago and the bacteria have a more susceptible host to invade without the antibiotic. Cysts do not occur from not taking a medication. If it is fom medication i would be considered an adverse reaction and it should be reported.
Yes, but make SURE you drink alot of water with it .
i take Minocycline, i think it's better, as you only have to medicate twice a day or once a day.

Doxycycline is from the same family as Minocycline, so it should work, make sure you drink loads of water with.
If the acne isn't severe, it's probably best to just not mess with the drugs.
I suggest you avoid using drugs to fight acne. It's true that you should fight acne both from outside (topical) and inside, but HERBAL treatments are your best option.

Also, what the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

    Good luck ;-)
in my experience (which has been a good 10 years even though I am only 19), I have found that antibiotics seem to make it flare it before making it better. I have been on 3 antiobiotics...tetracycline, minocin (mincocyline) and another one and I can't remember what is was called but they were yellow diamondy-shaped pills that had a good aftertaste to them (lol). I didn't fare well on the minocin....it made my throat sssoo sore I couldn't swallow and could hardly talk. Tetracycline worked the best for me. I was on apo-tetra tetracycline orginally for 100 days to see if it worked at just I believe 250 mg capsules just once a night. It cleared up my face fairly well. Anyways, long story short I didn't go to my doctor for a good 6 months after my prescription ran out and my face got worse, but not as bad as it was. I eventually went back and he decided to try minocen, which didn't last long seeing how I could barely talk while on it because it made my throat so sore. He then tried prescribing me the medication that I can't remember what it was called lol (sorry! this was a long while ago). So that didn't do anything (he also gave me topical treatment but that wasn't working too well either) and he reffered me to a dermatologist. The dermatologist put me on Apo-Tetra Tetracycline again once again with the 250 mg capsules but instructed me to take two in the morning and two at night. He also gave me a cream called Differin. Well, the cream made my face dry out ssoo much that it BURNED whenever I touched my face with anything. It actually brought tears to my eyes. Eventually though, the weather got a little better (cold-wise) and my skin wasn't so dry and the combination worked well. At my second visit with my dermatologist, things were looking good, so he gave me some more apo-tetra tetracycline and told me at this point, if I felt it was alright, then I could take only 1 in the morning and 1 at night. Unfortunately, that did not work well with my line of work that I did in the summer (factory continental 12 hr shift work) so I took either 2 in the ';morning'; or 2 at ';night'; (depending on which shift I was on since it was two week rotations). This was just fine, although during the summer I noticed that my nose especally would burn in the sun meanwhile the rest of my skin had the same sensitivity to the sun.

By September I decided to go onto the birth control pill. I did this for many reasons. The first pill lasted only a month and didn't do too much to my face and had to be taken off due to severe depression.

The second pill I was prescribed was supposed to be absolutely amazing for clearing acne, but only lasted on that for a week and a half before taken off for possible blood clot formation in my legs.

The third pill I was on for 3 months before it started to really really mess with my system. It cleared my face up A TON! I was ssoo happy...although eventually I started getting bruises the size of quarters/loonies/toonies on my legs. They looked disgusting and actually looked like my bf had actually beaten me. I found out it was my tetracycline because I had been on it for almost a year straight. So I went off of that. I also was taken off of my birth control pill because of other effects it was having on my body.

I was then prescribed my fourth pill and I have noticed that within the first week and a half, it makes me break out BADLY but by the third week or so, my face is clearer than ever! So basically I spend the first almost 2 weeks crying because I feel like all my hard work for my acne has gone to waste, but then happen the last week or so when my face is incredibly clear.

I still use Differin every once in awhile but I also use Aloe Vera on my incredibly dry skin in the winter and sometimes sunburnt skin in the summer and works great! It doesn't make me break out or anything...if your skin is really dry it will burn though until your skin has more moisture in it, and in the summer when using on burns it feels really nice being of the ';cooling'; effect it has.

I found that once I took myself off of the tetracyline, or lowered my dosage, my face would at first break out, but then it would get a bit better. Unfortunately for antibiotics, if that's the way that your body will respond to it, then you may be stuck taking them for life (which isn't great for your immune system).

Anyways I can only assume that you are a guy, so birth control is out of the question for you....I'd stay on Doxycycline for a little while - it takes a while for medications such as antibiotics to kick in and get rid of the bacteria. It's just a really slow fight and you kind of have to live with it.

I would just like to add...as someone posted below about using herbal remedies....unfortunately....they dont' work. At least NOTHING worked on me...I tried everything and had to resort to using drugs. I don't approve using drugs continually as it CAN affect your overall health, but sometimes it's the only resort people have :( I am not trying to ';bash'; herbal remedies or alternative medications or anything because personally I use some of that stuff (like tea tree oil...LOVE that stuff although it smells horrible lol).

Mix Multani Mitti (Fuller's earth) with rose water, apply to the face, let it dry and wash it with plain water, do it thrice a week and you will see postive results. Also you are advised to keep your hands away from your face, do not prick your pimples at all. Check your bowels should be regular. This is the most inexpensive treatment and it surely works.
clean%26amp;clear acne treatment cream. it works overnight i've tried it n it smells good too
try liquid dial soap and cetaphil facial lotion after. that will help with the acne.
For the pimples, try Clean %26amp; Clear Acne One Spot Treatment!

I used to get pimples all over my forehead, but once I started using that, it went away immediately. In a matter of a days, they were all gone!

For marks, try and exfoliating mask. Neutrogena makes one that works really well. If you can't find that, try St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub, I use that all the time and my face is clear and there is no sign that I ever had pimples:]

    Hope I helped!
Rose water for sure is so good for the skin. different parts %26amp; different roses for each need.

as far as scars---if you exfoliate, you may only irratate. It might be best to get an electric peel at a dr's office, to be on the safe side.
    This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored.

Aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water.

Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars.

If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands a full of bacteria and oils.
believe me wen i say that i have tried many different acne treatments and cleansers. the best thing to do is try out different ones and see how it goes. I am using acne free.
I love zyporex (available at www.zyporex.com)

It is the only and I mean only thing that has helped my acne in 20 years. and I have tried EVERYTHING.

I love the stuff, I cant tell you how happy I am with my skin for the first time since I was 12. and Im NOT kidding.

    It is the best stuff Ive ever bought, is all natural and so much cheaper per month than a lot of other ';cures';

I would try it if I was you. I am so glad I did.

Goodluck by the way, I sympathise with you.

What are some effective treatments for mild acne?

So usually my skin is pretty clear, but lately my chin has been breaking out with acne and it is very frustrating because I don't know how to get rid of it. I have combination skin and I have already tried toothpaste, alphahydrox cream, and clinique products. I don't want to spend money on proactiv either. Any quick solutions? What are some effective treatments for mild acne?
Proactive is good...BUT try the old fashion old school way... JUST WASH UR FACE EVERYDAY TO KEEP THE OIL AND DIRT OFF...WHEN YOU GO TO BED AFTER YOU WASH UR FACE WITH PLAIN HOT WATER AS HOT AS YOU CAN STAND IT USE A A COTTON BALL AND WIPE UR FACE WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL TO GET THE DEEP DIRT OUT... LET UR FACE DRY AND THE POURS CLOSE UP...FIND A MOISTRERIZER WITH NO OIL IN IT AND USE THAT AT NIGHT AND AFTER YOU WASH UR FACE IN THE MORNING...REPEAT THE RITUAL EVERY DAY AND THE ACNE SHOULD CLEAR UP...

IF YOU HAVE REALLY BAD ACNE GET A VAPORIZOR FOR STEAM OR A SMALL POT OVER THE STOVE BOIL THE HOT WATER AND PUT A TOWEL OVER UR HEAD AND LET THE STEAM OPEN UR PORES ON UR FACE,,,THEN WASH UR FACE WITH THE ALCOHOL AND COTTON BALLS AND THEN MOISTURIZE...UR ACNE SHOLD CLEAR UP INA COUPLE WEEKS BUT YOU HAVE TO KEEP UR FACE CLEAN ALL THE TIME...

I know it sounds silly but it works and its not expensive...you dont always need expensive products for stuffWhat are some effective treatments for mild acne?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
Try ZapZyt, I use their cleanser and I have yet to find a better skin clearing product. My friend uses the spot treatment cream and loves that too! If you go on their website you can get a $2 mail in rebate too... and its only like $5 anyways! Good luck!
Wash skin with salt and hot water. thin mix oat meal with honey salt and a dash of milk leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. wont make you irratated. clears it right up.
Gently apply fresh lime juice on pimples and wash after 30 minutes if you don't have a sensitive skin. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

  • What is the most effective treatment for acne?

my favorite cousin was asked to model in a school party and she is really beautiful, i was very excited for her until she went to my house and showed me her huge acne problem in her back... she has many pimples and because she has tried to vanish them with her nails she also has SCARS in her back, it just looks awful and she has lost hope to model, i just want to help her with the acne, not because of the runway but for everything.. i just think she cant go hiding her back for the rest of her life and waste the opostunity to be a model!! HELP!!

pd. the party is in a month and a half, i just want tips for her to have good skin in her back and something to help her with the acne. What is the most effective treatment for acne?
I highly suggest you purchase an acne solution cream, called ';zapzyt'; it contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, and you apply it three times a day daily, and in about a week or two you will see how the acne is vanishing. It will continue to go away if you continue using zapzyt. It honestly works, i bought it thinking it one of those that says it works but it doesnt, but i was hopless and believe me, if i get acne, it is huge and never ending, and i needed the best i could get and i think i found it.

I also recomend the toothpaste formula, you can apply toothpste to some pimples.

As well as you can try CAREFULLY popping them, and immediately as soon as they pop disinfect them with clearasil or an alcohol swab.

    It works for me.

A cause for pimples on the back or face is sometimes from the sun, Ery ear i go on vacation and i tan, therfor when i get back i have pimples all over my back, from the tan, kind of like a reaction. That should be taken care of with some methods i wrote above, however in time it should fade away.

Out of all the things i specified you with i mostly reccoment the zapzyt acne solution. Just make sure it contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, it may come with lower percentages but for best resuts i reccomend 10%.

Hi i had the same problem myself awhile back! i used to have acne all over me too. and now my skin is good as new. first off, STOP, scratching that could do permeanent damage! 2. I would recommend using PROactive. the stuff works within one week for guarunteed results. If that is too expensive or it isnt able to be obtained, go to any local CVS and try around some products and see what works best for your skin! i would have to say Neutrosil. hope this helps! and best of luck for modeling
